At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” He called a little child, whom he placed among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes a humble place—becoming like this child—is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:1-5 NIV

Nursery & Toddlers

Your babies and toddlers have a special place at Cornerstone!  Nursery/Toddler care is provided according to our "Safe Sanctuaries" policy  during Sunday School and worship ... though children of all ages are always welcome in the worship service.  Come see for yourself how blessed we are with our youngest gifts from God!

We give thanks for the donation of the nursery furniture in memory of Merlene Etheridge.

Children's Sunday School

While children are welcome to attend the worship service, they are also invited to spend the second half of worship in Sunday School. In Sunday School children will be in enaged with a multi-media curriculim called Live BIG!

Children's Ministry

What we hope our children experience at Cornerstone:

1. A Feeling of Belonging to Something Bigger Than Themselves

a. Experience the community that a church family provides

b. Feel as though they are a true part of the congregation (i.e. helping make decisions, participating in the service, etc)

c. We want our children to look back on their experience at Cornerstone as a positive influence on their lives. We don't want them as adults to remember going to church as something their parents "made them do".

2. Learn Compassion, Empathy and Equality for Other Human Beings

a. We have such a wide range of people in our church (ethnic makeup, socioeconomic background, education level, age...). This is the perfect time to instill the value of equality among all people. We're all truly equal in the eyes of the Lord.

b. Learn that peoples' differences are what make them interesting and unique. Learn how to embrace those differences.

c. Learn compassion for those less fortunate by participating in outreach programs (i.e. visiting the elderly, collect canned food, take toys to a homeless shelter, etc.)

3. Become Familiar with the Teachings of Jesus Christ & God's Plans for Living a Christian Life

a. Learn bible verses that will aid them all through their life.

b. Understand the bible stories and how they apply the message to their own situations.

c. Learn how to use their bibles.
